West Brom are being linked with a move for Gent forward Moses Simon after it was reported that they sent scouts to watch him as he played for Nigeria against Senegal at Barnet last week.
Moses, who usually plays on the left but is comfortable in a central role, was watched by West Brom’s Sporting and Technical Director Nicky Hammond as he played for about an hour of the friendly game at The Hive.
The 21-year-old had been a regular in the Gent side this year and has scored three goals and has four assists in 23 league appearances. He also played for Gent in the Europa League this season and West Brom apparently watched him when his side knocked Spurs out of the competition at the Round of 32 earlier this year.
Tony Pulis’ plan to bring the average age of his team down could be aided by signing the 21-year-old and if Hammond was impressed by what he saw on his recent scouting mission, there’s a good chance that the Nigerian could be at the Hawthorns next season.
