Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has denied he was in Croatia to tie up a deal for the prolific Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.
The Man United manager was seen in Zagreb yesterday and also watched the Croatia's win against Ukraine which ended 1:0.
Rumours claim the United boss was in the Croatian capital to complete a move for Perisic and met with super agent Predrag Mijatovic to discuss a £35m move.
However, Mourinho’s denied the trip was for Perisic and insists he just wanted to meet up with some old friends.
‘I have no hidden cause, I just came to enjoy my free days and visit some friends like Predrag Mijatovic and Davor Suker,’ Mourinho said.
‘I know everyone believes I came to watch some players, but in football today you don’t have to travel around in order to see some players, I know all of them well.'

‘I came as a person that wants to relax and enjoy the nice weather, unlike the rainy weather in Manchester.’
Perisic has been Inter Milan best player and are keen to keep hold of him but have slapped an astonshing £52m price tag on the Croatian.
The United manager has been given significant funds to spend this summer and the departures of Memphis Depay, Morgan Schneiderlin and Bastian Schweinsteiger has freed up a substantial amount in wages.
