Chelsea prepare plans to thwart Real Madrid interest in star player

As the season draws to a close, and after winning the league title Chelsea have begun plans to tie down their star men to new deals as they hope to avoid losing them to other top European teams.

Thibaut Courtois and Eden Hazard are two players the Blues may likely lose this summer as European giants Real Madrid circle around Stamford Bridge for the signature of the duo.

Real Madrid is in the market to sign a new goalkeeper and currently have Manchester United hotshot David De Gea at the top of their list. However, should they fail to sign the Spaniard they will turn to Courtois.

Courtois currently earns around £100,000 per week, and his current deal runs until the end of 2018/2019 season, and the Blues want to tie him down to a new deal worth at least £150,000 per week.

The Blues also wants to tie Eden Hazard down to a new deal as they hope to convince him that he can achieve his career goals with them. They hope to get him to sign a new deal worth £300,000 per week that would match the amount that Real Madrid is planning to offer him.
