The brazillian has finally responded the rumours linking him with a summer move to Manchester United.
The South American star emerged as a target for Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford. Willian has lost his regular starting place under Antonio Conte this term but still remains an important player for the Italian tactician.
The former Shakhtar Donetsk man has scored a brace in Chelsea’s 4-2 victory over Tottenham Hotspur in the FA Cup semi-final in April and has played a part in the club’s superb Premier League triumph even after the death of his mother.
It is believed that Mourinho is determined to bring the Chelsea speedy winger to Old Trafford in the summer having worked with the player at Stamford Bridge before his sacking last season.
However, the Portuguese manager set to miss out on Willian, who insists he is ‘happy’ at west London with the new Premier League champions.
During his interview, Willian said: ‘My future is here with Chelsea. I have a contract until 2020 and I’m happy. I know sometimes players always want to play but I understand why I’m not playing much.’
Another Chelsea star, Thibaut Courtois, has also reiterated his desire to stay at club despite emerging as a target for Real Madrid.‘Yes, of course,’ the Belgian goalkeeper said when asked whether he expects to stay in the English capital. ‘I am committed to Chelsea.’
